Dudley – Harborne Canal
Following a report from the Med Officer of Health and several other complaints concerning the unhealthy conditions of the canal at Selly Oak Park, the Parks Comm. on 2.11.64 agreed by Min 2684 that in view of the circumstances they would abandon the idea of making this area a water feature as it would be difficult to maintain it in a clean condition, that the City Eng and Surveyor should be requested to arrange for the site of the canal to be filled in, graded and top soiled with a view to the site being incorporated with the park.
